Friday's Five

1. Crafting Blogs
I don’t know about the rest of you in the blogosphere, but I love being crafty.  There’s just something about bring able to create something tangible with your own two hands (and maybe a few tools) that’s very fulfilling.  Especially when you can do it for next to nothing!  Of course, I’m not always in the crafting mood.  I go through phases.  But apparently I’m back on the upswing, because I spent a good deal of this week looking through new crafting blogs I’ve found.  And I’m pretty sure I know what I’ll be doing this weekend!  How adorable is this pom pom bib necklace?

And this would be perfect for my beachy bedroom:

Check out these crafty ladies for more inspiration:

2. Shoe Clips
If you’re anything like me, you’ve got some old shoes sitting in the back of your closet that you don’t wear anymore, and yet for some reason, just can’t seem to bring yourself to give away.  Maybe you should try revamping them instead.  Enter shoe clips!  They give your old tired shoes a brand new life!  Or just add a little extra pizzazz to already cute ones!  Take a look at these lovelies!

3. Etsy

I’m assuming most of y’all out there have heard of this website, but if not, get yourself over there pronto!  I could (well, and let’s be honest, totally have) spend hours on this website.  Just about anything you could possibly imagine is for sale here in some form or fashion.  I heart Etsy!

4. New Fall TV!

So excited that some of our favorite standbys (hello NCIS, DWTS, HIMYM, etc) are back on tv.  And a little more excited about new shows out this fall.  We’ve watched the premieres of New Girl (Zooey Deschanel is too adorable), Ringer, Revenge, and we love them all!  Which shows will you be tuning into this fall?

5. Ten Thousand Villages

If you've never heard of it, Ten Thousand Villages is one of the largest fair trade organizations in the world which strives to improve the livelihood of artisans in 38 disadvantaged countries.  Your sale will help pay for "food, education, healthcare and housing for artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed."  With 390 retail stores, there's bound to be one near you.  If not, check out the website.  They have jewelry, home decor, toys and games for the kiddos, etc.  The stores are fun to peruse through.  I scored the above capiz shell earrings, which were made in the Phillipines.  Go check them out.  You'll be doing a good thing and getting something beautiful in return!
